ObBeatles

"Free As A Bird" sounded somewhat dirge-like as a song to me at first, but it's gradually growing on me. The video, is, of course, wonderful, and I shall have to spend a couple of hours soon freeze-framing it to try and catch all the references to other Beatles' songs. In the meantime, the first episode of the Anthology documentary is on the videotape, and will be watched as soon as I get a chance. Americans apparently get a different version with 35 minutes removed from the 6 hours in order to make room for the commercials...

RETREATS :

GENEVA :

I have reason to believe that Chris has moved, but presumably letters to the above address will still reach him. GANDALF's orders were written on a valid proxy to GONDOR. We have a game-end proposal of an extrapolated DWARVES/ELVES/GONDOR/ROHAN draw. The deadline for votes, Afterlithe II 3019 orders, retreats and adjustments is FRIDAY, 5th JANUARY, 1996, to Peter Sullivan. E-mail : peter@manorcon.demon.co.uk
