Colophon

HELLO, good evening and welcome to issue 45 of Octopus's Garden, the subzeen with its very own colophon with the word "wibble" in it. Wibble. An html version of this subzeen is available on the Web at http://www.manorcon.demon.co.uk/octopus/index.html. It's also sent to the TAP mailing list, which you can join automatically by sending the message 'subscribe tap' to majordomo@diplom.org. The message 'unsubscribe tap' sent to the same address will get you off the mailing list.

Note that at least one proposed joint run failed just because the prospective partners wanted to go different routes. Note also that you must pay to rent track you leaped over during building - you don't get to use it for free! For Round 8, you may enter up to 6 races and build up to 12 physical points of track (i.e. payments to rivals do not count against the limit, although of course you still pay them.) Could you all let me have Round Eight orders by FRIDAY, 4th FEBRUARY, 2000 to Peter Sullivan, octopus@manorcon.demon.co.uk

Races for Round Eight (including carry-overs from Round Seven) :

PRESS:

TURN - GOOCH: You have my response to Round 6 press via private e-mail. No need to repeat it here as actions speak louder, etc.

TURN - All: With all these voided runs things will be interesting later on. Perhaps BLUES does not have an unassailable advantage after all.

TURN - PEAT: All's fair in love, war and e-gaming. Besides, my builds were calculated, not vindictive. At game end I'll let you know the builds I decided against because they might have looked too devillish. K48 - Ashington earned me easy points. Come now, wouldn't you have done the same in my position?
